Taylor Gray Moore was born in Vancouver, BC, on July 4, 1992–pleasing his Canadian mother by means of the location and his American father by means of the date. He spent the formative years of his life there, and he lives there still. The writing started when he was about fifteen, and it didn’t stop; it keeps piling up. He attended McGill University, in Montreal, from 2014 to 2018, where he studied English literature and the Middle Ages. More important than that, he forged a deep love of the city itself and its poetic soul. His time there ended in a way other than he would have wished, but he maintains a strong connection and has been back multiple times since. Wounds heal, he has found. His first poetry chapbook, Chasm, was published by Cactus Press in 2022, who also published this one. He is drowning under too many incomplete projects, at least one of which (Vancouver Observed Through a Glass Window) he’ll be self-publishing in the near future–knock on wood.
He also on and off publishes a social media journal on his website, which you can go look at–he’s bad at keeping up with it lately, but he’ll get back to it. Or try to. Promise.
